4RFuture is Dutchess County's strategic economic development and job creation plan. It focuses on business retention, expansion and attraction through:
- Reform, by increasing efficiencies and improving services to our community and streamlining the regulatory and permitting processes;
- Retaining, by bringing together all existing external resources to ensure businesses in Dutchess County are aware of, and have access to, programs and services offered by the federal, state and local governments as well as those offered by the not-for-profit community;
- Reinvesting, by competing for project funding provided by State and Federal grants and tax credits; and
- Recruiting, by attracting new businesses to fill vacant industrial, office and storefront spaces and invest in city centers.
Dutchess County is a community full of opportunity - whether it be for business relocation, businesses expansion or business start-up. By meeting current fiscal and economic challenges head-on, its 4RFuture economic development plan will ignite economic investment and job creation, making Dutchess County a model for New York State.
