HEAP Can Help You With Your Energy Bills.

HEAP assists individuals with the cost of heat and energy-related expenses. Eligibility is based on household income. 

The Heating Equipment Tune-up benefit provides for equipment inspections and cleanings prior to the start of the heating season for eligible households.The Regular HEAP benefit is a supplement to assist low income households by paying a portion of their heating costs; the Emergency HEAP component meets emergency heating needs, as defined by HEAP regulations. Heating Equipment Repair and Replacement (HERR) assists eligible homeowners with furnace and tank repair or replacement.  HEAP Cooling Component provides for the purchase and installation of fans or air conditioners to eligible households. Important dates for the 2017 HEAP Season ~ Please be advised we cannot give out or accept any HEAP applications for these programs prior to their opening dates.

  • Heating Equipment Clean and Tune - open beginning July 1, 2017.
  • Heating Equipment Repair and Replacement open until funds are exhausted.
  • Regular HEAP benefit closed for season.
  • Emergency Fuel Depots closed for season.
  • Emergency HEAP Component closed for season.
  • Cooling HEAP Component open May 1 - August 31, 2017 or until funds are exhausted.

  • Apply for Regular HEAP benefits during HEAP season (usually Mid-November to Mid-March).
