ADA Application for Transportation Service (.pdf) 

As required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Dutchess County LOOP operates an ADA Complementary Paratransit Service for qualified individuals within Dutchess County and the City of Poughkeepsie.  The service is available to eligible individuals who live within ¾ mile of a regularly scheduled bus route (e.g. LOOP, Express, or Special Express) and who cannot use the regular fixed route service. The service is available on the days and during the hours that the fixed route operates.

Who’s Eligible ————————————————————————————————

To be eligible for the ADA Complementary Paratransit Service, a customer must meet all three of the following:

1. Complete an ADA Paratransit Application, available from Dutchess County LOOP.
   
   
2. Trip starting and end points must be within 3/4 mile of an existing Dutchess County LOOP and/or City of Poughkeepsie bus route.
   
   
3. Trip days and times must coincide with an existing fixed route schedule.

Reservations —————————————————————————————————

• Complementary paratransit service is defined as next day service. Reservations can be scheduled up to seven (7) days in advance by calling the following phone numbers between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
  
  Monday through Friday: (845) 473-0171
  Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays: (845) 485-4691
  
  
• On Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays you will be connected to an answering machine.  Please leave your NAME and PHONE NUMBER and someone will contact you within twenty-four (24) hours to arrange your transportation.
  
  
• When scheduling a reservation, please provide the dispatcher with complete addresses for all pick-up and drop-off locations, and any special needs.
  
  
• Dutchess County LOOP may provide the service with any appropriate vehicle.

Lost and Found 

Any articles found on the bus will be turned into the LOOP Bus Office. The LOOP Bus Office is located in the Town of LaGrange at 14 Commerce Street (just off of Route 55).  All articles will be held for a maximum of thirty (30) days. Call (845) 473-0171.

Directions

From Poughkeepsie: Take the Eastbound Arterial (Rt. 44/55) and bear right on Rt. 55. At the split of Routes 44 and 55, Commerce Street is the first left after the intersection of Rt. 55 and Noxon Road. The Bus facility is on the right side of Commerce Street approximately 300 yards from Route 55.
