To assist the Emergency First Responders of Dutchess County and local municipalities to prepare and respond to natural and man-made emergencies in their communities.   


Guidance is provided through established protocols such as Dutchess County’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and the Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Mutual Aid Plans.

The County’s 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center provides a central communications center for EMS, Fire and Police.
