The mission of the Department of Human Resources is to provide a full range of human resource management services for Dutchess County departments and employees, and to administer the New York State Civil Service Law for the County and all municipalities within the County including towns, villages, cities, schools, Dutchess Community College, and all special districts such as libraries and fire districts.

Dutchess County is currently recruiting for COVID Resource Assistants. These are temporary positions (up to 30 hours/wk) for up to 12 months to assist in Dutchess County’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. -Training and PPE provided.
Dutchess County is currently recruiting for students that are either: (A) Dutchess County residents entering or attending a college/university; OR (B) non-Dutchess County residents entering or attending a college/university located in Dutchess County.
