Dutchess County War Memorial Ceremony Highlights Slate of Local Veterans Days Events

Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro and Nelson Eddy Rivera, USN (Ret), Director of the Dutchess County’s Division of Veterans Services invite residents to participate in Dutchess County’s Veterans Day ceremony at the Dutchess County War Memorial on Saturday, November 11th at 11 a.m. Read the full news release and schedule of events.

 

Dutchess County Honors Those Who Gave All

Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro and Director Nelson Eddy Rivera, USN (Ret), of Dutchess County’s Veterans Services, invite Dutchess County residents to participate in two special Memorial Day ceremonies to be held on Memorial Day Eve and Memorial Day.  Read the full news release and schedule of events.

 

Illumination of the Walkway Ceremony

Memorial Day Eve - Sunset Vigil - Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 8pm.  Join Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro and the Division of Veterans’ Services for this special sunset vigil to honor those who gave their lives for our country. At the flag pole in the center of the Walkway Over the Hudson.  The ceremony will consist of a flag ceremony with the Pleasant Valley American Legion, the Highland Veterans of Foreign Wars and the New York State Park. Join us at the Flag Pole in the center of the Walkway Over the Hudson for a sunset vigil.  Bring flashlights, glow sticks, or other non‐flammable items to “Illuminate” at dusk. (Flyer)
