The Department of Public Works has the responsibility for the administration, construction, maintenance, supervision, repair, alteration, and care of all buildings, highways, bridges, parking lots, county parks, and any other Public Works’ facilities considered within the county jurisdiction. The department is also responsible for the  supervision of the design and  construction of all capital projects in the county five-year Capital Improvement Program.
