The Computer Information Services division oversees all automation for Dutchess County Government. This award winning division’s primary role is to use computer technologies to support the county’s missions and provide efficiencies to 37 departments in support of their efforts. Perhaps our most important role is to provide on-line services to the public and county-wide shared services for municipalities including such applications as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and the County Clerk Document Search.
The County’s goal for our computer services is to make residents and County Government more efficient and effective and to provide 24-hour access to on-line information and services; well after County offices are closed.
Our work is accomplished through the teamwork of our different staff services. These include: Applications Development Staff, Computer Operations, GIS Group, Microcomputer/Server Staff, Network Group, Administrative Staff and our Management Team.
Take a few minutes to review the rest of the OCIS web pages for details about the services we provide, some key projects, the roles that our different teams play, and most importantly how your tax dollars are put to work.
