The Department of Mental Hygiene is the unit of county government that plans for, develops, oversees, and provides, in conjunction with allied agencies, a comprehensive and integrated array of services and programs to meet the mental hygiene needs of the Dutchess County citizens throughout their lives. In carrying out this mission, the Department strives to ensure that the resulting public mental hygiene system is responsive, accessible, affordable, cost-effective, patient-centered, recovery-oriented and dedicated to continuous quality improvement.
The Department of Mental Hygiene, in fulfilling its commitment to ensure high quality patient care to the citizens of Dutchess County, will continue to improve, refine and expand the mental hygiene system, so that all in need have access to prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services.
Business Hours: All publicly funded mental health and chemical dependency clinics are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and at least one (1) night until 9:00 PM.
