Announcing Our New Map Your LOOP Route  - Map Your LOOP Route

We're excited to announce - Map Your LOOP Route - our new map-based interactive LOOP Bus schedules application! We believe that this will greatly improve the searching, viewing and readability of the Dutchess County LOOP Bus routes for the thousands of new and existing LOOP Bus riders as well as give riders a means for getting up-to-date information about the status of any and all LOOP routes and the operation of the LOOP Bus System.

- About the New Map-based Interactive LOOP Bus Schedule -

Our new application employs Google Mapping (which many internet users are already familiar with) to map all LOOP Bus routes and stops. The following are some key functions of the new map-based Map Your LOOP Route facility:

• Entering "Your Address" will show the address location on a map in relationship to a Route and its Stops.
  
  
• Selecting any Loop Bus Route will show the actual Route mapped along with all of its Stops.
  
  
• Left-clicking on Stop will show the Stop’s location as well as all the times that a bus on that route will stop at that location.
  
  
• The times on the schedules are time points and the bus will stop if hailed anywhere along the route that is safe to pull over. The buses do not stop at thoroughfares or intersections where cars are making right-hand turns.
  
  
• Detailed views of the streets on a Route or a high-level view of a Route can be seen by zooming in and out.
  
  
• "Street View" of any Stop (when available through Google) can be displayed. This shows a 360 degree, panoramic photo of the area around a Stop, making it easy for you to find or identify the Stop’s location.
  
  
• A Print-Schedule button prints the Route including all of its stops and times on 8 ½” x 11” paper. This schedule is for one direction, if you need a return trip you will have to select the reverse route and print another schedule.
  
  

In addition, we are introducing another application to check on the status of the LOOP Bus System by clicking on the button above. The application will tell you whether the service is running or has been suspended due to weather or some other reason.

Important Information:

• The Dutchess County LOOP Bus system cannot assume responsibility for delays or failure to make connections caused by vehicular traffic, weather conditions, mechanical failure, shortages of manpower or equipment.
  
  
• Bus schedules, equipment and fares are subject to change without notice.
  
  
• The times on the schedules are time points and the bus will stop if hailed anywhere along the route that is safe to pull over.  The buses do not stop at thoroughfares or intersections where cars are making right-hand turns.
  
  
• Our fare is $1.75 per zone and customers can pay when boarding the bus. (Drivers cannot make change, exact fare is required.)
