NOW IS THE TIME TO GET VACCINATED!
The flu season is far from over. Flu activity is still widespread in New York State. Typically, the most flu activity occurs from January through March, and the flu season runs until May.
Getting vaccinated now will provide protection for you and your family against H1N1 flu for the rest of the season this winter and spring.
H1N1 FLU VACCINE
H1N1 Flu vaccine is now available to ALL who want to receive the vaccine.
H1N1 vaccination is recommended for everyone, 6 months of age and older, especially those who are:
- Pregnant
- Children 6 months to 24 years of age
- Individuals with health conditions that put them at risk of complications from influenza
SEASONAL FLU VACCINE
Seasonal flu vaccine is recommended for everyone six months and older, especially those individuals who are:
- Pregnant
- Children 6 months to 18 years of age
- Adults 50 years of age or older
- Individuals with health conditions that put them at risk of complications from influenza
Where Can I get My Flu Vaccine?
Aside from the County public flu clinics, flu vaccine may be available locally at your doctor’s office, pharmacies, and other retail stores.
