The DWI Bureau prosecutes through trial those offenders who, while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, are charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and in addition, those intoxicated offenders who injure or take the lives of innocent victims through their reckless or negligent conduct.

The Justice Court Bureau prosecutes, through trial, all misdemeanor offenses committed in any of the twenty towns, eight villages and two cities in Dutchess County, as well as all felonies not specifically handled by the Narcotices, Major Crimes, Special Victims and DWI Bureaus.
