Quiet Cove Riverfront Park is an exciting addition to the park offerings for Dutchess County.  Totaling 27 acres, with 5 plus acres to the West of the rail line, this former portion of the Hudson River Psychiatric Center property was retained by the state at the county‚Äôs encouragement for the creation of a riverside park.  As part of a cooperative partnership agreement with New York State, the County agreed to make improvements to the property and operate it as a riverfront park, while the State maintains ownership of the land.

The County has recently implemented renovations to the park including a newly renovated shoreline and waterfront observation deck overlooking the Hudson River.   Handicapped accessible restrooms and ramps are available    Other improvements to Quiet Cove include a boat launch area for canoes and kayaks.

The park also offers picnic tables, grills, fishing, walking trails and scenic overlooks on the upper section of the park and breathtaking views of the Hudson River.  This park location does not have any rental facilities available.
