Annual Drinking Water Quality Reports - Water and Wastewater | |||||
All water systems are required to prepare Drinking Water Quality Reports on an annual basis. They can be obtained from the water system operator. The Water and Wastewater Authority publishes Drinking Water Quality Reports annually for the systems they operate. Dutchess County Comprehensive Countywide Private Well Water Testing Initiative - Health Department Main Office | |||||
The goal of the Dutchess County Comprehensive Private Well Testing Initiative is to collect information about Dutchess County private well water source quality that serve single-family, owner-occupied residences. Phase I of the project included the testing of 125 private wells at single family, owner occupied homes throughout the county, with no direct personal cost to participating homeowners; every municipality was represented in the sampling. Engineering Services - Health Department Main Office | |||||
This division of the Dutchess County Department of Health performs inspections, monitors, regulates, reviews, and approves plans for sewage collection, treatment and disposal systems, realty subdivisions, bathing beaches, residential and commercial sewage disposal systems, individual and public water supplies. The division also conducts a NYSDOH approved certification course for water treatment plant and distribution system operators. Environmental Health Services - Health Department Main Office | |||||
| This branch of the Dutchess County Department of Health permits and inspects food service facilities, children’s camps, hotels, motels, campsites, parks, temporary residences, mobile home parks, public functions with 5000 or more people, swimming pools, bathing beaches, migrant labor camps, daycare centers, and nursery schools. EHS staff also arrange for pre-construction conferences and inspection of individual water supplies and sewage disposal systems for conformance to approved plans; investigate complaints regarding foodborne illnesses, rental dwellings, sewage failures, vermin infestations, and offensive materials; and reports of animal bites and human contact with suspect rabid animals. |
