Simply write your request and send it to the “FOIL Officer” at the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority’s main office. Your request must reasonably describe the records for which you are looking and should mirror the format outlined in the sample request provided. When an agency receives a request, §89(3)(a) of the NYS Freedom of Information Law requires that it has five business days to grant or deny access in whole or in part, or if more time is needed, to acknowledge the receipt of the request in writing and indicate an approximate date by which the agency will respond to the request.
Cost for records – The typical charge for records is twenty-five cents per page - up to 9”x14” size. For paper copies which are larger than 9”x14”, and/or for records which may be in other formats/media, charges are based on actual production costs. You will be advised of the estimated cost at the time the requested records have been identified and become available to you.
